What is happening in Minneapolis is wrong and I stand fully with my community and opposed to ICE.
I have been filled with rage and despair at what has been happening to the city that I still in many ways call home. Making art and crafting has been helping to fill a void. However, I refuse to profit from it because it’s morally wrong to do so. 100% of the sales price of this item will be donated to MN Together, which is a local mutual aid fund and organization dedicated to helping Minnesotans impacted by Operation Metro Surge.
That means that out of the $25 sales price, $25 is donated. No gimmicks.
Now. Onto the description. These tiles are approximately 7″ square. Since I don’t have a banana for scale handy, for comparison they’re about the same target size as a facist’s face, maybe a little larger. They are made of SOLID wood, not plywood, and are 3/4 thick. Most are oak. They are stained a medium oak color and are rustic. The edges on some may be rough and that is part of their charm.
They are DOUBLE SIDED and say FUCK TRUMP on one side and FUCK ICE on the other, so you can flip the sign according to your mood and rage that day. So it’s like two signs for the price of one. I also am including a 3-D printed black stand for your shelf (pictured).
These tiles have been in my workshop for the better part of two years and I was waiting for inspiration for what to make with them all this time. I originally bought them from a guy in a pickup truck in the parking lot of the Menard’s in Rice Lake, so if I’m playing the odds I’m guessing he also had a thin blue line flag on his truck. Every time I engrave the words FUCK ICE on them, given their likely origin, it gives me a certain amount of ironic satisfaction and pleasure.
